Japanese Speaking IT Business Development Manager

A well-established Japanese IT company with over 50 years of history is currently recruiting a Business Development Manager to join their Amsterdam office.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing both existing and new client accounts, while also playing a key role in business development activities. Due to the broad scope of the position, you will contribute not only to external BD initiatives but also to building and strengthening internal structures that support sustainable business growth.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in business planning, management, and team leadership, and be comfortable working cross-functionally and with headquarters in Japan.

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30 (30-minute lunch break)

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage account plans to improve profitability of existing clients, including upselling and cross-selling
• Create and execute business plans to drive revenue and profit growth through AI and security service offerings for new clients
• Manage team performance, including evaluation and performance monitoring
• Support the planning and execution of management strategies, organisational structures, and operational processes
• Lead and promote various business development activities, including collaboration with Japan HQ, participation in industry events, relationship building with new clients, and cross-departmental coordination

Ideal Candidate
• 5+ years’ experience in team management (include budget and KPI), business planning, or marketing
• 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager or in team management
• 3+ years’ experience in solution-based sales is highly desirable
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work proactively across the organisation
