They are looking for a Planning Manager in their Planning Department who is eager to ensure general affairs tasks and coordination functions of all matters for the Planning Div.
Understanding of Japanese corporate culture is highly advantageous as this role will liaise with Japan HQ frequently.
TYPE: Starts from 1 year fixed-term contract
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week
SALARY: €80-100k, depending on experience + benefits
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Amsterdam, the Netherlands (Office-base)
Planning Manager Main Responsibilities:
Corporate Planning & Executive Coordination
• Organize and coordinate the Board of Directors and internal committee meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and logistical arrangements
• Serve as liaison with financial regulators, including preparation and submission of official documentation
• Arrange regulatory training sessions for board members in collaboration with legal advisors and external counsel
• Ensure compliance with relevant governance frameworks and internal protocols
Project Management role for cross-divisional initiatives (with less HO involvement)
• Organize and coordinate the project within the organization which requires internal coordination and relatively less HO involvement
• Serve as a coordinator of the project who are responsible for budget control and the timeline management
Strategy Development & Policy Planning
• Plan and manage internal strategy and policy meetings, acting as a bridge between the local office and HO in Japan
• Respond to inquiries from the Japan head office regarding strategic and operational matters together with expats
Company IR and Annual Report
• Coordinate the compilation and publication of the Annual Report in collaboration with various departments
• Draft report sections of the division and manage responses to preliminary inquiries from external auditors and stakeholders
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance in all reporting materials
External Audit & Reporting
• Manage responses to inquiries to Planning division from external auditors and F&T division (responsible for external audit)
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiatives
• Develop and implement CSR initiatives aligned with the institution’s values and global sustainability goals
• Drive the creation and revision of internal regulations and policies to support CSR and corporate governance objectives
Planning Manager Ideal Candidate:
• Approximately 8 - 10 years’ experiences in relevant area
• Understanding of Japanese corporate culture is highly advantageous
• Working experience in a financial institution or bank is advantage
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• An international mind-set and intercultural sensitivity
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Highly organized and ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Dutch or Japanese language skill would be advantageous
