This role represents the senior leadership position at the plant and is responsible for overall plant operations, people management, and performance delivery. The position is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader who can integrate multiple functions and build a strong “One Team” culture in a Japanese-European matrix environment.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required for this role.

TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday (Core time: 9:00 – 15:00, 8 hours per day)
SALARY: CZK 150,000 – 180,000 per month × 12 months + summer & winter performance bonus (company performance based)
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Ústí nad Labem Region, Czech Republic

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Full responsibility for overall plant operations including Production, Engineering, SCM, Quality, HR, SHE, and IT
• Lead and align all department heads to operate as a cohesive “One Team” and support plant-wide production objectives
• Ensure achievement of production volume, on-time delivery, quality, safety, and cost targets
• Oversee the entire value chain from production planning and procurement to logistics and final shipment
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 5S initiatives across the plant
• Manage plant budget and P&L-related responsibilities, including cost control and productivity improvement
• Secure appropriate manpower levels while optimising labour costs and resource utilisation
• Act as the main interface between the plant and Japan HQ, ensuring accurate reporting and alignment
• Develop and mentor department managers, building a strong local leadership pipeline
• Ensure compliance with Czech and EU labour laws, safety regulations, and environmental standards
• Collaborate with other global group factories to share best practices and benchmark performance
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field
• 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing, plant management, or general management roles
• Hands-on experience in printing, packaging film, plastic film, or related manufacturing industries
• Strong background in PET film processing, coating, laminating, or converting operations is highly preferred
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-functional teams (50+ employees)
• Strong understanding of production, engineering, supply chain, and quality functions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• High level of English proficiency for daily interaction with Japan HQ and global teams
• Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting and cost management
• Hands-on, pragmatic leadership style with a continuous improvement mindset
• Competency in MS Office and openness to learning new systems
