TYPE: Full-time role, initially 1 year contract (there is potential to become permanent)
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:30, Monday to Friday (30 minutes lunch break)
SALARY: Up to €3,000 per month, depending on experience + max. 3 months performance bonus, holiday allowance, transportation fee and pension
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Amstelveen, the Netherlands (1 day working from home is available after the training)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Increase company revenue and profit, by independently managing assigned clients, ensuring client retention and driving business development
- Maintain and increase sales/gross profit of assigned clients with a total annual sales target minimum €7million (amount may vary depending on client complexity)
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients
- Develop new business opportunities, including new products and clients
- Propose both existing and newly developed products to clients
- Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure smooth product supply
- Communicate effectively with clients, group companies, warehouses, freight forwarders, and transport companies
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities
- Receive and arrange orders, among others, to check orders from clients, draft and send shipping instructions, check products to be shipped
- Prepare and send invoices
- Make and maintain merchandise labels
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up with clients as needed
- Business trips (at least once a month)
- Attend trade shows
- Other tasks related to sales and purchase activities, such as filing and sending out documents and making lists in Excel and/or Word etc
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Strong interest in building a career in sales within a trading company
- Willingness to start as an assistant and grow into an independent sales role
- Bright, positive, and proactive personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Business-level English is mandatory
- Understanding of Japanese culture and/or Japanese language is a plus
- Holding a driving licence or planning to obtain one in the near future
- Ability to travel for business when required
- Availability to start as soon as possible is preferred
