TYPE: Fixed-term (1-year contract to start, with potential for permanent employment)
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:30 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: €3000-3700 per month depending on experience

LOCATION: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Localisation Engineering Coordinator Main Responsibilities:
• Analyse new localisation projects and define technical requirements, timelines, and feasibility
• Prepare, convert, and process source files for localisation, particularly using Adobe FrameMaker and other formats
• Handle complex file formats including FrameMaker, XML, HTML, InDesign, Excel, AI, and EPS, ensuring compatibility with CAT tools
• Automate workflows using scripts, macros, and Regex
• Perform technical and layout quality assurance for print and digital outputs (including PDF QA)
• Edit and finalise DITA/XML-based content and manage pre-press processing
• Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, linguists, and other stakeholders
Localisation Engineering Coordinator Ideal Candidate:
• 2–3+ years of experience in localisation engineering or 6+ years in technical publishing or multichannel communication
• Business level of fluency in English
• Strong practical experience with Adobe FrameMaker
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat
• Knowledge of XML, HTML, DITA, and markup-based workflows
• Experience with QA for print-ready PDFs
• Working knowledge of Regex, scripting, or workflow automation tools
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills, able to manage multiple projects under deadlines
• Proactive and structured team player with a hands-on mindset and the ability to coordinate external partners
