A Japanese manufacturer in Greater Amsterdam Area is currently recruiting an Application Engineer to strengthen its technical team ahead of an upcoming team transition.
You will work closely with the sales team and customers, providing technical support for hardware products, particularly fan motors and cooling fans, while acting as a key liaison between European customers and overseas development and manufacturing teams.
The ideal candidate should have a strong hardware engineering background, with knowledge or experience in motors, fan motors, electronics or related products. Strong technical capability and business-level English communication skills are essential.

Main Responsibilities
• Provide technical and application support to customers in cooperation with the sales team
• Handle fan motors, cooling fans, and related hardware products
• Understand customer technical requirements and communicate them clearly to overseas development and manufacturing teams
• Act as a technical liaison between European customers and development teams in Japan and China
• Build strong working relationships with internal engineering teams and manufacturing sites
• Support technical discussions, product enquiries and troubleshooting
• Travel within Europe, including Germany, when required

Ideal Candidate
• Strong engineering background in hardware, electrical, electronic, mechanical, or a related technical field
• Experience or knowledge of motors, fan motors, cooling fans, or similar hardware products is highly advantageous
• Experience in product development, R&D, quality assurance, technical support, or application engineering would be advantageous
• Experience within consumer electronics, telecommunications, IT hardware, or a related industry would be beneficial
• Business level of fluency in English
• Japanese language skills would be advantageous
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both commercial and engineering teams

Conditions
• Location: Greater Amsterdam Area, the Netherlands
• Working Style: hybrid, with up to 3 days WFH per week after the initial training period
• Salary: negotiable, depending on experience
• Job Type: 1-year contract, full-time, with the intention of long-term employment
• Working Hours: 9:00-17:30, including a 30-minute lunch break
