A Japanese manufacturer based in Munich is currently recruiting a General Affairs to join their small team.
In this role, you will be responsible for government and regulatory liaison, regulatory & compliance monitoring, expatriate & corporate support, and other ad hoc tasks.
The position is ideal for someone with relevant experience, but candidates who are eager to learn and demonstrate the required competencies are also welcome to apply.
An understanding of Japanese and/or German working culture, as well as some proficiency in Japanese would be an advantage.

General Affairs Main Responsibilities:

1. Government & Regulatory Liaison
• Act as the primary contact point with German authorities and external institutions
• Manage official correspondence and regulatory documentation
• Coordinate commercial registrations, reporting obligations and statutory filings
• Monitor relevant industrial, environmental and trade regulations affecting the business

2. Regulatory & Compliance Monitoring
• Track new legal and regulatory developments (e.g. product compliance, environmental regulations, trade controls)
• Coordinate internal response to regulatory changes
• Liaise with external advisors where required

3. Expatriate & Corporate Support
• Support expatriate employees with relocation, residence registration and administrative procedures
• Provide general administrative support to management

4. Inside Sales & Commercial Support
• Provide administrative support to the sales function
• Handle customer enquiries and order processing coordination
• Prepare quotations and maintain customer documentation
• Support coordination between sales and service functions

5. Adhoc Tasks
• Provide general office management and administrative support


General Affairs Ideal Candidate:
• Business level of fluency in German and English
• Japanese language skill is highly advantageous
• Having strong analytical and logical thinking
• Proficient with numerical data
• Having high level of accountability and responsibility
• Being proactive and having solution-oriented mindset
• Being able to handle multi-tasks under a fast-paced environment
Some understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese language would be advantageous
