TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8-5 (it could be as early as 7am, and as late as 6-7pm), 30 min lunch break
SALARY: €2.800 – €3.200 per month depending on experience
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review export orders and check inventories
• Transport the goods from customer to warehouse
• Book shipments with the airline
• Discuss prices with the shipping partners
• Book space
• Check whether the sender is safe with the Marechausse and screen the goods
• Contact the customer and create a file
• Verify conformity of filled orders and documentation
• Prepare bills, export declarations and related documents
• Follow organization export standards and procedures, adhering to export regulations
• Preparing export files, timely and accurate, using the export system UFS
• Managing, generating, and updating all export documentation with excellent follow through
• Review and follow up on vendor and customer aging reports. Assist with processing and resolving past due invoices
• Ensure the timely retrieval of the items
• A proper format of the export Customs declaration
• The maintenance of the daily contacts with shippers, customers, and suppliers
• The provision of administrative assistance
• Data Entry including shipping/receiving/maintenance of inventories, occasional sales order entries, as well as other entry procedures
• Confidence with figures and comfortable converting weights, volumes, and currencies for international shipments
• Oversee operations and logistics for outbound shipments as needed
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Has 3-5 years’ experience in airfreight
• Experienced in air freight related matters and/or IATA Regulations
• Has a positive and creative mindset
• Is entrepreneurial and enthusiastic
