WORKING HOURS: 8:30-17:00 from Monday to Friday (30 minutes’ lunch break), 39 hours / week

LOCATION: Nuremberg, Germany (Currently 2 days in the office, 3 days’ work from home – this may change depending on the company’s decision.)

Mechanical Design Engineer Main Responsibilities:
• Product development of electronic components used in industrial machinery, consumer equipment, and automobiles
• Define customer requirements
• Design and evaluation of products according to requirements
• Liaise between Japan headquarters and customers in product development
• Technical follow-up during product sales pitches
• Prototype support
• Attendance at exhibitions
• Technical support - Response to product defects
• Close cooperation with other departments within the company
• Long-term business trips or possible expatriation to Japan headquarters for the launch of product development functions in Europe
Mechanical Design Engineer Ideal Candidate:
• A background in mechanical engineering is required
• 2 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer
• Experience in product development is preferred
• Japanese language skills at a level that enables communication within the company (Ideally B1-B2 level)
• Native level of German and Business level English
• Understanding of Japanese corporate culture
• A team player's mind-set
