A Japanese manufacturer is currently recruiting a Branch Accounting Coordinator to join their team in Nuremberg, Germany.
In this position, you will be working independently with the team in Amsterdam for accounting procedures and closing deadlines of the individual branches.
You will be in a great international working environment, with a high-quality team and a dedicated strong company. At least B1 level of German language is required to communicate with external accounting firms and read German letters.

TYPE: Full-time, permanent
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:30 from Monday to Friday (8 hours per day + 30 minutes’ lunch break)
SALARY: €50-€55K including 13th month pay
BONUS: Max 10% based on personal and company performance
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Nuremberg, Germany (Currently 2 days in the office, 3 days’ work from home – this may change depending on the company’s decision.) *Required to live in Nuremberg or close enough to be able to commute to the office

Branch Accounting Coordinator Main Responsibilities:
• Assist in the coordination of the accounting within the German branch
• Oversee accounting processes including financial statements reporting, foreign currency accounting, fixed assets, governmental reporting, and other accounting activities
• Maintain monthly closing activities
• Assist in Month/Quarter and Year-end closing of the branches
• Determine applicable provisions where necessary
• Monitor monthly cost bookings and accruals
• Applicable general ledger control
• General control over the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory
• Processing tax payments and returns
• VAT, CIT, and Statistical Reporting
• Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate

Branch Accounting Coordinator Ideal Candidate:
• At least 2 years of experience within a similar role
• Knowledge of German bookkeeping procedures and regulations are required
• English language (fully fluent or business level fluency) and B1 level German are required
• Other EU language skills would be a plus
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Outlook
• Experience with SAP B1/ SAP S/4HANA is advantageous
• Flexible and dedicated
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Accurate and affinity with numbers, analytical skills, and detail orientated
• Good communication skills
• Calm and professional attitude
• Pro-active and hands-on, self-motivated
• Willingness of occasional (few times a year) travel to their Amsterdam office
