- Banking Data Transfer Project -
A global consulting firm is currently recruiting a Senior Banking Migration Lead to support a large-scale banking transformation project in London.
The role will lead cross-workstream migration planning and governance, coordinating migration activities across systems, data, interfaces, testing, and phased releases. You will work closely with client stakeholders to establish a safe, practical, and controlled migration approach.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in banking technology transformation, data migration, and large-scale system integration projects, with strong stakeholder management skills and fluent English communication ability.

Main Responsibilities
• Lead integrated migration planning, roadmap development, milestones, governance standards, and critical path management across a multi-phase banking transformation programme
• Coordinate cross-workstream dependencies across systems, environments, interfaces, data, testing, and releases
• Provide oversight of migration activities covering core banking, Oracle EBS GL, sub-ledger, and data warehouse platforms
• Manage migration testing, rehearsals, cutover planning, rollback preparation, readiness assessments, and Go/No-Go criteria
• Maintain risk, issue, dependency, and decision management processes and drive resolution of outstanding items
• Lead workshops and provide clear reporting and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Support the programme team in identifying gaps, improving delivery plans, and ensuring successful migration execution

Ideal Candidate
• 15+ years’ experience in banking technology transformation or large-scale systems integration
• Proven experience leading complex, multi-system migration programmes from planning through cutover and go-live
• Strong knowledge of data migration, interface migration, testing, rehearsal, contingency, and rollback planning
• Experience with core banking, General Ledger, and Sub-ledger platforms
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and executive communication skills
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite GL is advantageous
• Wholesale or corporate banking transformation experience in the UK or EMEA is advantageous
• Experience supporting Japanese financial institutions or global programmes involving overseas branches is advantageous

Conditions
• Location: Central London
• Working Style: Client office-based / on-site required
• Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
• Job Type: Contract, 1St November to 31st December 2026, with potential extension to be over a year
• Working Hours: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday
• Start: ASAP
