A logistics company is currently recruiting for a Warehouse & Customer Service Operations Manager to work on their Rotterdam site in the Netherlands.
In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on management of warehouse and logistics operations while also acting as the main customer service contact, ensuring stable operations and high-quality customer response.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in warehouse or logistics operations, be comfortable working on the ground, and be able to handle customer communication and internal coordination in English and Dutch.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse & Logistics Operations
• Execute and manage inbound, storage, picking, packing, and outbound warehouse operations
• Actively participate in day-to-day warehouse activities while maintaining overall operational control
• Instruct and supervise on-site staff, ensuring safety, quality, and operational efficiency
• Manage operational KPIs (OTIF, inventory accuracy, lead time, etc.) and drive performance improvements
• Design, implement, and maintain SOPs, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement
• Handle initial responses to operational issues and implement preventive measures
• Adjust workforce planning and support operations during peak periods

Customer Service & Stakeholder Coordination
• Respond to customer enquiries regarding shipments, delays, and operational issues
• Handle complaints and irregular cases, coordinating internally to resolve issues
• Provide explanations and communicate with customers in English when required
• Identify issues from a customer service perspective and reflect them in operational improvements
• Liaise with head office and internal departments including CS, IT, and Sales
• Make operational decisions independently to ensure smooth daily operations

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Business-level of Dutch is preferred but not essential
• Practical experience in logistics, warehouse, or contract logistics (B2B environment)
• Proven experience handling both warehouse operations and customer service
• KPI management and data-driven operational control experience
• Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and resolve operational issues
