A logistics company is currently recruiting for a Warehouse & Customer Service Operations Manager to work on their Rotterdam site in the Netherlands.
In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on management of warehouse and logistics operations while also acting as the main customer service contact, ensuring stable operations and high-quality customer response.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in warehouse or logistics operations, be comfortable working on the ground, and be able to handle customer communication and internal coordination in English and Dutch.

SALARY: Up to €57,000 gross per year (depending on experience and skills, performance-based incentive available)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse & Logistics Operations
• Manage and perform daily warehouse operations
• Actively participate in day-to-day operations
• Instruct and supervise on-site staff, ensuring safety, quality, and operational efficiency
• Ensure SOP compliance, drive improvements, and provide staff training
• Handle initial response and corrective actions for mis-shipments, inventory discrepancies, and delivery delays
• Adjust staffing and support operations during peak periods

Customer Service & Stakeholder Coordination
• Respond to customer enquiries regarding shipments, delays, and operational issues
• Handle complaints and irregular cases and coordinate internally for resolution
• Identify issues from a customer service perspective and reflect them in operational improvements
• Communicate and report to customers in English when required
• Liaise with head office and internal departments including CS, IT, and Sales

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Business-level Dutch and English
• Experience as an Operations Manager, Supervisor, or Team Leader
• Ability to handle both warehouse operations and customer service responsibilities
• International logistics, forwarding, or e-commerce logistics experience
• Hands-on experience in logistics, warehouse, or fulfilment operations
• Experience using WMS or warehouse management systems
• Customer service or complaint-handling experience
• Experience driving small-scale operational or CS improvements
• Experience working in a multicultural environment
