The Assistant Sales Manager will be responsible for coordinating technical / commercial negotiations as well as handling delivery arrangements and attending to factory / site inspections. You will be able to learn skills to support the Sales Manager for this role, and previous management experience is not required.

Assistant Sales Manager Main Responsibilities:
• Managing sales to customers or customer portfolios with a growing track record
• Building and maintaining long term relationships with customers and suppliers at all levels
• Proactively developing new business in responsibility areas
• Identifying business opportunities, and initializing contacts with new customers and suppliers
• Providing technical product information and promoting the products to potential customers
• Reporting effectively to management verbally and in writing
Assistant Sales Manager Ideal Candidate:
• Business level fluency in English and Japanese
• Work experience within a global trading business
• Ability to capture customer and supplier value for success of business
• Advanced Microsoft Excel & Word skill
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) in any additional languages
• Ability to work in a team
• Defines priorities and plans time, budget, and resources realistically to achieve objectives
• Demonstrates perseverance when faced with difficulties
• Experience in handling import and export
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• Technical knowledge of machinery or experience in the machinery business would be advantageous
• Clear mind set to be more proactive and have an open mindset to learn new products and markets
• Qualified by several years of experience with a positive track record
