Japanese-speaking Contract Royalty Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Royalty Coordinator at a Publishing company in Paris.
The roles will be responsible for representing the company and communicating with both licensees and rights holders related to contracts/royalty management, work closely with License Coordinators to ensure swift invoicing, and secure punctual payment by licensees.

Understanding of Japanese culture and business level fluency in Japanese is necessary.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare all necessary contracts related to deals made between licensor and its licensees, have them signed by the concerned parties, and archive all signed documents
• Issue invoices for all the fees and royalties and take care of other financial documents when necessary
• Collect all licensees' sales reports, verify, and prepare invoices accordingly
• Follow all payments and invoices
• Follow the material arrangement and prepare all necessary papers for payments/invoicing of material fees
• Ensure compliance with due dates of laid invoices and being primary interlocutor for negotiation if it’s necessary to obtain payments
• Report to Managers and Licensing coordinators any delay or issue related to contract, payment, sales reports as quick as possible
• In case of non-compliance with payment or any other terms of the contract licensing, being responsible for monitoring the legal and administrative proceedings to enforce their rights within support of Manager
• Collect all necessary documents to ensure compliance with licensees’ obligation in case of expiration of contract
• Assist in preparation of financial reports to rights holders in collaboration with Manager
• Share and exchange information related to contracts, royalties, payments, and any financial matters
• Cooperate with Manager to analyse seasonality effect in invoicing, licensees’ financial situation and sales
• Assist Manager in leading all the necessary installation of the new system/workflow and organizing the necessary training sessions of software/system operation for the team
• A face-to-face meeting is needed with interlocutors outside of Paris


IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Languages: Native level Japanese (reading and writing skills are a MUST), English/business level
• Advanced MS Excel skills such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables
• Has team spirit
• Attention to detail
