Primary Job Functions;
Teamwork
- Be able to manage / support all facets of the Kitchen operation
- Appropriate, effective and considered instruction
- Be able to solve operational and interpersonal issues
Time Management
- Timely preparation of products
- Manage schedule and overtime
- Ensure implementation of House Rules
Product Management
- Correct portioning, presentation
- Instruct and lead appropriate and correct preparation (recipe, inventory, fair division of work load, etc.)
- Understand and communicate ingredients and allergies
Inventory Management
- Tasting for quality and understanding inventory levels
- Understand and communicate expiry dates and FIFO
- Advise superiors on appropriate levels of inventory
Human Resources Management
- Lead and direct other staff in kitchen operations (Kitchen Manager)
- Create a desirable work place (employees, equipment, supplies, time and other divisions)
- Promote exchange of information within and without the division, contribute positively in Managers’ meetings
