Japanese speaking Accountant

Accounting experience in the UK is essential for this role, and understanding of Japanese culture and business level Japanese will be required.
Due to the small size of the office, they are looking for someone who is flexible and proactive in a wide range of non-accounting duties.

Accountant Main Responsibilities:
• Checking and inputting data into the accounting system
• Processing of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts
• Issuing invoices
• Processing payments
• Processing of expense reimbursements
• Cash flow management support
• Liaising with external accounting firms
• Supporting for the preparation of consolidated financial statements to be submitted to the head office in Japan
• Preparing various reports and sending them to the head office in Japan
• Managing insurance and rental contracts
• Liaising with banks, HMRC, local authorities, Business Link
• Other general administrative duties and reporting to the head office as required
Accountant Ideal Candidate:
• Accounting experience in the UK is essential
• Experience using accounting systems
• Experience dealing with consolidated accounts with the head office in Japan is preferred
• Business level English (TOEIC 850 or above, IELTS 6.0 or above) and Japanese (JLPT N2 or above)
• A good eye for detail and the ability to work accurately
• Problem-solving skills and willing to learn new area
