In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Department General Manager and other Department Managers for all investment related risk management work – both new opportunities as well as existing portfolio investments. You will have 3 direct reports.
The ideal candidate should have experience in corporate finance, M&A, portfolio management, business strategy/development, or risk management.

LOCATION: Central London (Currently 2 days in the office, 3 days’ work from home – It may change depending on the company’s decision.)
Investment Portfolio Manager Main Responsibilities:
• Support the department in providing recommendations on their management on investment opportunities based on your own analysis and evaluation (including the handling of internal applications for such procedures)
• Support business departments as an “in-house advisor” in terms of investment sourcing and deal execution
• Monitor and oversee invested subsidiaries and affiliates in order to keep them growing and profitable through budget control and decision-making for key governance matters (including the handling of internal applications for such procedures)
• Consider and advise management of subsidiaries and affiliates on their business and operations and offer ways to improve performance and efficiency
• Collaborate with business departments and support corporate development activities
• Support strategic exits of investments as required
• Coach and develop junior staff members in the department
• Encourage efficient and improved delivery of corporate service to BLCs
• Actively contribute to accomplishment of the team targets
Investment Portfolio Manager Ideal Candidate:
• Essential (in one of more of the following areas): corporate finance, M&A, portfolio management, business strategy/development and risk management
• Undergraduate university education or higher
• Degree in Management & Business Administration, Corporate Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar (preferred)
• Business level of English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player
• Excellent understanding of corporate finance and M&A
• Strong analytical and modelling skills
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high performing team (previous people management experience required)
• Analytical nature
• Eager to tackle challenges and highly self-driven
• Results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality deliverables
• Comfortable challenging the status quo and engaging with management
• Happy to travel frequently, mainly in Europe and occasionally further afield
