A well-known Japanese trading house is looking for a German speaking HR Manager to join their Düsseldorf Office.

The HR Manager will be responsible for managing entire tasks in Human Resources of German office. Additionally, the position-holder will be responsible for supporting the day-by-day tasks in General Affairs and the General Affairs Personnel closely working with the General Manager and other Department Managers.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to handle HR generalist duties as well as the strategic side of HR. This is an amazing opportunity for the right applicant to further develop their career as an HR professional.

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 38.5 hrs/week
SALARY: €60K dependant on experience, plus good benefits

LOCATION: Dusseldorf (Hybrid working style)

HR Manager MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment and retirement
• Plan and manage recruitment and selection of staff
• Plan and conduct new employee orientation
• Conduct exit interviews
• Maintain employee database and administrate the personnel files

Training
• Hold induction training for HR issues for new hires
• Hold introduction training to all new employees to make them familiar with the Rules & Regulations such as the Employment Handbook, Objective Settings, etc

Rules and Regulations
• Review and update employee rules and regulations
• Administer HR policies and procedures
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting requirements that impact HR and GA functions such as occupational health and safety.

Contract
• Check of contracts (ex: employment contracts, temp staff contracts, contracts with external service provider, Landlords Insurances, etc) in German and English language, and apply internal approval for contracts
• Issue of working contracts and supplements to working contracts

Payroll and Attendance
• Monthly payroll and all compensation and benefits for all employees through DATEV/LODAS including all preparatory duties
• Coordinate employee safety, welfare, and wellness
• Administration of Time recording including Absences in the Personio HR system

Others
• Handle employee complaints, grievances, and disputes
• Overall General Affairs work with administration duties and all other day to day issues

HR Manager IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• 3 years’ work experience in HR field e.g. as Human Resources specialist (Personafachkaufmann / Personalfachkauffrau)
• Experience with Human Resources Management Software (including payroll systems, DATEV/LODAS)
• Excellent verbal and written English and German language skills
• Solid understanding of labour legislation and relevant legislation and regulations as well knowledge in the field of Taxes and Social requirements
• Negotiation of company agreements, support of executives and employees, personnel controlling
• Comfortable communicating and working with employees at all levels and different cultures
• Self-motivated and able to work to strict deadlines while retaining accuracy
